Hot Pepper Jam Cheese Ball

16 oz. cream cheese, softenedpepper-jam-cheese-ball

1/3 cup Hot Pepper Jam (Original Jalapeno, Cherry Jalapeno or Strawberry Jalapeno)

8 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, shredded (or your favorite cheese)

1 T. chopped onion

1 T. chopped jalapeno

½ cup chopped pecans

In a mixer or food processor, cream together the cream cheese, pepper jam, onion and jalapeno. Chill for at least an hour, then form into a ball. Roll in chopped pecans and chill until ready to use. Serve with crackers.

Chafing Dish Meatballs

1 lb. ground beef

1/2 cup dry bread crumbschafing-dish-meatballs-2

1/3 cup minced onion

1/4 cup milk

1 egg

1 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. pepper

1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1 Tbsp. parsley, chopped

1/4 cup shortening

1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce

1 (10 oz.) jar WV Fruit and Berry Jalapeno Pepper Jam OR 1 (10 oz.) jar WV Fruit and Berry Mountain Blackberry Preserves

 

Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, milk, egg and the four seasonings. Gently shape into 1 inch balls. Melt shortening in skillet and brown meatballs, then drain. Heat chili sauce and jelly in a pan until jelly is melted, stirring constantly. Add meatballs and stir until coated. Simmer 30 minutes. Makes two dozen meatballs.
